KFC Wraps Food in Green Packaging
KFC food will be wrapped in materials made out of recycled cardboard and biodegradable paper. According to Environmental Leader this decision comes from the fast-food chain's initiative to reduce the quantity of wrapping material by up to 1.400 tonnes.
The new packaging will be used for KFC Fillet and Zinger products, which will be wrapped in paper and for the Variety menu, which so far has been packaged in cardboard.
Last month, Yum Brands company, KFC fast-food chain owner, launched its first corporate responsibility report, in which it claims it has reached its objective to reduce its emissions by 51.000 metric tonnes.
